Summary
Black and white image taken on Mt Kororoit with unknown person overlooking the sanctuary, photographed by A.G. Campbell, son of A.J. Campbell.
In 1933 a bird observation cabin, the first of its kind in Victoria, was opened on the property of Mr V.R. Davey in Toolern Vale. Mr Davey was an active member of the Royal Australasian Ornithologists Union (R.A.O.U.) and built the cabin for members to observe the natural wonders of flora and fauna that inhabited his property. Other organisations with a similar interest were able to use the cabin as well. A.G. Campbell who produced many of these images of the sanctuary was also a member of R.A.O.U.
This glass lantern slide is one of many forming the A.J. Campbell Collection held by Museum Victoria.
