Porcelain bowl and stand featuring a gilded design of golden butterflies and flowers on a base of imperial yellow, manufactured in Japan during the early Meiji period (1868-1880).
Physical Description
Deep round bowl with scalloped rim on wooden stand. Yellow background decorated on inside and outside with butterflies and flowers in gold and white. Simple round wooden foot with three low feet. No markings. Slight hairline crack.
