Black and white silver gelatin photograph, south-east from Gatehouse Road features Building 10, Medical and Personnel, Kodak factory, Coburg, circa 1961.

Building 10 contained a medical centre with a full-time physician and three nursing sisters and a part-time physiotherapist. It also housed the personnel centre which included payroll, recruitment and other staff relations, and a small purchasing section supporting the factory.

Its client base included amateur and professional photographers as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.

This photograph is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005 after the manufacturing plant at Coburg had closed down the year before.
