Summary
Black and white photograph featuring a set of steam radiators and steam control gear used in air drying systems being installed during the Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd building construction period 1958-1960.
In this view within the ceiling space of a typical factory building, five steam radiators of varying capacity have been mounted on the floor. Each one is connected to a) the 550KPa steam supply via separate steam control valves, and b) the condensate return line via separate steam traps. Isolating valves throughout the system allowed the steam controls to be serviced independently.
This photograph is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.
