Summary
Church of St John the Evangelist, Sutton Veny, Wiltshire, England. The foundation stone of the church was laid in 1866. During World War I, military activities at Sutton Veny included a Camp Hospital, 1st Training Battalion, 1st Command Depot and no.2 Concentration Group. An Australian War Commission graveyard is now located there.
One of a collection of 60 small photographs taken by Tom Robinson Lydster during World War I.
Lydster was assigned to the 14 Infantry Battalion - 5 to 12 Reinforcements, service number 3060. He served in the 4th Machine Gun Company. He was awarded the Military Medal and the Bar to Military Medal.
