Black and white photograph of the shop front window display in Kodak Australasia Limited's retail store on Queen Street, Brisbane, circa 1920. This is subtly different to another sailing display from this collection, and may have been a different year.

The display is themed around sailing and includes mounted photographs of sailing boats, primarily yachts. A sign in the centre of the display reads: 'Record the Opening of the Sailing Season' but it is unclear exactly what event Kodak were promoting. Cameras are placed throughout the display.

This photograph is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.
