Summary

Black and white photograph of HLS Potter Photo Store, otherwise known as 'Potters', a camera store on Ryrie street, Geelong, later purchased by Kodak Australasia.

After a period as a Kodak store, the company sold the store to a Mr Porter and his daughter Lillian but the store continued to process Kodak black and white film. The store became known as Porters and was managed by Cliff Barkly.

The shop front window display is pictured here circa 1930s.

This photograph is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.
