Summary

Black and white photograph of a shop front window display in a Kodak Limited retail store, circa 1930s. The display is themed around capturing Autumn colour and Autumn skies. Cameras are mounted in circular and 'corn cob' shaped boards, with products also laid out on the floor beneath them. There is a large photograph of young girls picking apples and the phrase 'Capture Autumn's Beauty on Kodak Film' leading back to a white picket fence and clouds, suspended against the curtained backdrop. A text panel on the far right suggests Kodak Super-XX film for capturing Autumn skies.

This photograph is part of the Kodak collection of products, promotional materials, photographs and working life artefacts collected from Kodak Australasia in 2005, when the Melbourne manufacturing plant at Coburg closed down.

Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.
