The Chamberlain Super 70 Diesel Tractor was produced by Chamberlain Industries Pty Ltd, of Welshpool Road, Welshpool, Western Australia, from 1954-1962, with just over 1,000 units built in total. It feataured a super-charged 3-cylinder 2-stroke General Motors Series 71 Diesel Engine, delivering a maximum of 77 B.H.P. at 1,500 r.p.m. (rated at 65 belt horsepower), or 70 B.H.P maximum at 1,500 r.p.m. on the drawbar (rated at 52.5 drawbar horsepower). The tranmission was a 3-speed & 3-ratio gearbox, giving three reverse and nine forward gear speeds in total. Overall weight with dual rubber rear tyres was 10,000 lbs (4535.9 kg) - later increased to 11,000 lbs (4989.5 kg).
