This spearthrower is the classic form made in Arnhem Land and has a wooden peg at one end. It is painted on both sides with geometric and wavy designs.

Physical Description

An elliptical shaped spear thrower made from a length of wood painted with natural pigments. It has a wooden peg set at the distal end. The upper blade is decorated with mainly geometric patterning and the reverse has chevron patterning.
