Summary
Catalogue showing the Braybrook Implement Works' range of products. It is one of the earlier examples of a catalogue of the Braybrook Implements Works product range soon after the company was bought by H.V McKay. Of note is the locations of Braybrook Junction (now Sunshine) and Ballarat as both works were then in operation. This pre-dated the "Sunshine Harvester Works". It is also noteworthy that McKay had several overseas locations in South America, Africa and Italy.
An introduction by Hugh Victor McKay entitled "Important to Farmers!" commends the quality of the implements and the suitability for Australian requirements. His summation of his implements and machines declares they "are the latest combined with practical requirements and are unexcelled in Construction and Design, Honesty in Manufacture, Promptness in Delivery, Neatness in Finish."
The book's text is decorated with art deco embellishments combined with drawings and diagrams of the implements and parts. The rear pages are dedicated to 16 farmer testimonials primarily singing the praises of the stripper and winnower - Braybrook products.
The catalogue is brought to a close with a final page from Hugh.V. McKay, Manufacturer of......"Sunshine Harvester - The Best Machine in the World"

Part of a collection of photographs, negatives, moving film, artefacts, documents and trade literature belonging to the H. V. McKay Sunshine Collection. The McKay collection is regarded as one of the most significant industrial heritage collections in Australia. The collection relates to the agricultural manufacturing firm, the Sunshine Harvester Works. The Australian operations of this company were originally founded by Hugh V. McKay in the 1890s in Ballarat. Between 1906 and 1907, McKay moved production to Sunshine where the firm became one of the largest industrial businesses in Australia. Change in ownership is a recurring theme in the company's history. In 1930, it merged with Massey-Harris to become H.V McKay Massey Harris. In the mid-1950s, the company was absorbed by Canadian agricultural firm Massey-Ferguson. Production in Sunshine ceased in the mid-1980s, following almost 100 years of manufacturing agricultural equipment.
