The HMS Dreadnought was the flagship of the British Home Fleet in 1907-1912. It was the first of its kind in warship design, it represented modern innovation, and was held up as a strong symbol of British naval and national power prior to World War I.

Physical Description

On the front of the Postcard is a line illustration of harvesting wheat using a Sunshine stripper harvester. Several men are bagging the wheat in the foreground and a long line of harvesters are disappearing over the horizon toward a low sun. On the rear of postcard: In the top right-hand corner is a Sunshine Harvester encircled by the rays of the sun. In the centre is an illustration of a 'Dreadnought' ship, with the text 'Australia's Real Dreadnought', positioned over an outline of Australia with a long arrow pointing to the harvester.
