Extract from the "Adelaide Register", 23rd December 1904: 'The announcement that the local representative of the "Sunshine" Harvester intended to attempt the feet of putting through three machines 300 bags of Wheat, from sunrise to sunset, in one day, caused considerable interest. Owing to the rain a few days ago, the trial was postponed, but it took place yesterday on the farm of Messrs. Bond Bros., near Clover Hill. Owing to a heavy dew the night before, the machines were unable to put in their best work in the early morn, but the weather warmed up and a more perfect day for reaping it would have been impossible to have. Two teams of four horses each were used, and when the call to knock off came, it was found that as the result of the days work, no fewer than 356 bags were sewn up and ready for market. This is believed to be a record. The Wheat was Marshall's No.3, and the crop averaged 21 bushels to the acre. The sample was a magnificent one, and as a result of the revolving screen, which is a special feature of this Harvester, [it is] wonderfully clean.' -
