Summary
Album containing photographs of Kodak Australasia Pty Ltd shop front window displays from the mid-1930s. Windows generally featured product promotions for film or cameras, as well as photographic exhibitions to attract crowds to the store. Exhibitions featured Mt Everest, the British Royal family, Australian farming, and images from famous photographers, for example Frank Hurley.
Kodak manufactured and distributed a wide range of photographic products to Australasia, such as film, paper, chemicals, cameras and miscellaneous equipment. Its client base included amateur and professional photographers, as well as specialist medical and graphic art professionals who used photography, x-ray and other imaging techniques.
