Summary

A black board with two photographs adhered to one of the sides. The images are portraits of naval seamen during World War II. One of 32 black and white photographs, some in the form of postcards, relating to the military service of David Ralph Goodwin, Ex H.M.A.S. Association (Vic).

David Ralph Goodwin was born 14 Nov 1921 in Mordialloc. He enlisted 11 May 1938 in Melbourne, service number 22112, and became an Able Seaman. He served on HMA Ships Canberra, Vendetta, Perth and Hobart. He was serving at HMAS Cerberus in June 1943 when he was diagnosed as suffering from anxiety neuroses. He was discharged on 21 July 1943. He later founded the HMAS Perth Association.
