Descriptive booklet published by British Airways. Obtained by Qantas employee John Lynch during the visit to Melbourne by Concorde G-BOAC in August 1975. Mr Lynch flew from Melbourne to Singapore on Concorde G-BOAC on 12 August 1975.

Significance

The BAC/Aerospatiale Concorde supersonic airliner was one of the most significant technological developments of the twentieth century. It engendered both support and fierce environmental opposition. It was intended that Concorde flights from Australia to Europe should begin in about 1977 but no regular passenger flights were every operated from Australia.
