Summary

Alternative Name(s): Respirator Note

The author refers to the magazine 'Pix', which on 18 April 1942 described what to do in the event of a civilian having no gas mask: mix 5 parts of soda bicarb to 1 part glycerine to 8 parts water. Apply to pad and place over nose. The recipe was to be used for all gasses except mustard gas.
