Summary
This costume was purchased by the donor at a sale of drag show costumes held in 2006 to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Xchange Hotel, in Commercial Road, South Yarra.
It was specially made for performer Tiffany to wear during a Dusty Springfield tribute show, which debuted on New Year's Eve, 2005. It is a copy of the dress Dusty wore whilst performing 'I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself' during the Royal Variety Performance at the London Palladium in 1965.
Characters in the shows were often based on Pop Culture figures and icons from film, television and music.
Physical Description
Light blue sequin, full-length dress with long sleeves and choker-style neckline. Dress features a dark blue sequin swirl from the left shoulder across to the right hip then down to bottom hemline. Zipper at back. Evidence of makeup around collar.
