Summary
This costume was purchased by the donor at a sale of drag show costumes held in 2006 to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Xchange Hotel, in Commercial Road, South Yarra.
It was specially made for performer Tiffany to wear during a Dusty Springfield tribute show, which debuted on New Year's Eve 2005. It is a copy of the dress Dusty wore performing `I just don't know what to do with myself' during the Royal Variety Performance at the London Palladium in 1965.
Characters in the shows were often based on Pop Culture figures and icons from Film, Television and Music.
Physical Description
Light blue sequin-style slip dress with long sleeves and chocker style collar with dark blue sequin-style swirl from left hand shoulder across to right hip and down to floor. Zipper at back. Evidence of makeup around collar.
