Summary
A stone tomahawk with an original wooden handle. The stone would have been set into the handle with resin and the handle secured with string.
Physical Description
A hafted stone axe with a handle made from a single length of wood tied with string in two places. It has remnants of resin on the blade.
Significance
Very few objects from Brisbane have survived and hafted stone axes are extremely rare from the southeast Queensland region.
