Summary
One of seventy six photographs in a photograph album. Twenty-three photographs are of the Melbourne International Exhibition of 1880. The other forty-nine photographs are from 'Frith's Series'. These large-format images were taken by British photographer Francis Frith or members of his staff, of Gibraltar, and villages and towns in Britain.
Description of Content
Photograph of a rotunda in the main street of Dunster, England with a Castle in the distance. The rutunder was previoulsy used to house a local yarn market. Three men can be seen on the left standing around a horse and cart whilst another three men are standing to the right in front of a building called 'GENERAL WAREHOUSE'. Photograph taken by Francis Frith, circa 1870.
