Summary
Black and white image of Jessie Haughton (later Bull), driving a staff car at the Exhibition Building, during the occupation of the Exhibition Building during World War II.
In 1993 she recalled (in a typescript): 'My work in the transport section included being chauffeur to the Commanding Officer (Squadron Leader Gaze). The car was a new Auston Seven sprayed with camouflage paint (A.F. 200128).' A similar vehicle with camouflage paint is seen in Australian War Memorial image 050769. Note: the car shown in MM 103544 does not appear to be an Austin 7.
