Summary

This token was excavated at the Commonwealth Block site between 1988 and 2003.

People living in and visiting Little Lon found many ways to enjoy their leisure time. Tokens and dice attest to gambling and games of strategy; dominoes and possibly mah-jong and Pai Gow were also played.

Physical Description

This is a square worked wood token. There is a square engraved in the centre and the corners have been cut out around it. In each corner of the square there is a dot surrounded by a semicircle.

Unidentified, worked, wooden object with corners cut out. Each corner has a semi-circle and small circle and dot as a pattern. Could be unfinished. Dimensions 25mm x 25mm. Displayed in Australia Gallery as a gaming token.
