Summary
This glass in well was excavated at the Commonwealth Block site between 1988 and 2003.
Writing implements, found throughout Little Lon, indicate that writing was a commonplace activity. The pens, pencils and inkwells are a tantalizing reminder of words forgotten long ago.
Physical Description
This is a small, light green glass, square-based inkwell with rounded off shoulders. It has a short neck which is chipped around the edge. It was moulded after hand blowing and has a moulded base.

Small, square-based inkwell, shoulders rounded off. Short neck, chipped around the edge. Base 35mm x 35mm, height 40mm. Rim diameter 19mm. Glass is light green colour. Moulded after hand blown, with moulded base. After 1850.
