Summary
The necklace is made of bat-winged coral seeds, which continue to be popular with women in the arid regions of the Northern Territory for making necklaces. The seeds are pierced through the centre and threaded onto vegetable fibre string and tied to form the necklace. Women wore these in the past but are mainly made today for the market.
Physical Description
