The list was probably still available for use when work began in 1947 to develop the computer CSIR Mk 1 (later CSIRAC) The list has become part of the CSIRAC archive.
CSIR stands for the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research. The Radiophysics Laboratory was set up in 1939. In 1949, the Division of Radiophysics was set up as part of the CSIRO (formerly CSIR). CSIRO stands for Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation. CSIRAC stands for Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation Automatic Computer.
