Woman in uniform, standing by her father's Austin A40 car, in the front driveway. Marlene Trenberth, dressed as an official driver for the Melbourne Olympic Games, 24 November 1956. This photograph was taken outside the Trenberth family home, in Moffat Street, Brighton Beach. Marlene Austin (nee Trenberth) says she was feeling a bit nervous. She was driving a Humvar Supersnipe for the first time, when she used to only drive her Dad's car, an Austin A40. However people at the Olympics were very kind and welcoming. She remembers driving the King of Thailand. This is a three quarter length photograph of Marlene.
