Anne Cornish and friends feeding seagulls at the Dromana beach, Easter, 1944. Anne had to bring her friend Wilma home to meet her mother before she could be allowed to go away with her. Anne was 15 at the time. At Dromana they went for midnight hikes. They also invited boys from Scotch College for dinner and cooked them a duck, only to find the boys shoes in the oven where they had put them to dry off.
