A woman standing in the backyard, with a fernery and clothes line. Mrs Staindl in the backyard of her family home at Black Rock 1948. The clothes line at right front, although similar to a Hills Hoist, was actually made by her husband, Henry. The ti tree screen behind her sheltered a fernery. The tall pipe is a sewerage vent pipe.
