Woman sitting on front steps of Californian Bungalow, viewed through wire fence. Preston, about 1932. This was the Hughes family home. Myra Florence, nee Hughes is sitting on the front step. The front right room was always kept shut from everyone, as it was the parlour. Mrs Hughes kept a memorial there for her son who died in Cairo during World War One.
