Description of Content

Two men in entertaining pose with clarinet, euphonium and a program of performances poster in a backyard. The Calithumpian Band' with probably Fred (surname unknown) playing a euphonium or baritone horn, and Stan Fletcher on clarinet, circa 1913. Stanley Fletcher had a wicked sense of humour and his daughter guesses that the rest of his family did too. Stanley played the clarinet, and it's likely that the rest could play their instruments too. This series of four photographs MM110333, MM110334, MM110335 and MM110336, were probably taken in the family backyard in Brunswick. The sign about ducklings and chooks is probably a joke on the fact that the family kept hens.
