Description of Content

Christmas tree in a corner of a lounge room, with presents underneath. There are stars in the branches, and a doll in a box to the left hand side. This photograph shows the Christmas tree in Joyce Condick family's lounge room, Coburg, 1953. The whole extended family, both Condicks and Sheldons, were there for Christmas. They would go to the Condick's because they were better established than any of the other newly married couples. The Sheldon's parents would come up by tram, and could walk to the house, as they didn't have a car.
