Description of Content
A boy and a girl dressed for an outing, standing in front of cars, 1937. The boy is in school uniform. Here Melva Halls and her brother Allan were visiting St Kilda to go to Luna Park. It was a very big outing for the family and happened very rarely. They would travel by train and tram from West Footscray and would have a picnic lunch on the lawns before going into the park. They though of St Kilda as very glamorous and exciting.
