Woman in overalls, marking the waterline on a red boat with newspaper in the backyard. This photograph shows Barbara Schutte in 1980 marking the waterline on the boat that she and her husband Bert built, 'a 42 foot single chine steel ketch.' They built it in their backyard over a 5 year period, finishing in 1982. They then did many trips together in Australian waters. They sold the boat in 1984.
