The photograph was taken in the front garden of Lynette's family home at Tuppen Street, Yarraville. This snap was taken before Ronald married Lynette's sister Jean. Ronald was a regular visit to the Arthur family home during his courtship with Jean.

The girl is wearing a dress, and is sitting 'side saddle'. The man is wearing shirt, vest and jeans, and glasses. The motorcycle has a protective visor on the front.
