Description of Content

Four girls and five boys sitting on wooden pier, with a concrete retaining wall behind them. They are all in swimming costumes. On the left, one boy has his arm around the next one's shoulder. This photograph shows Ted Lhuede and a group of Port Melbourne friends sitting together just east of Station Pier in 1950. They were sitting near the London Hotel, and near where Swallow and Ariel Biscuit Factory used to be. Ted Lhuede is on the far right. He was fifteen or sixteen years old.
