Description of Content
A girl and a man holding an infant boy, standing outside a chicken run. This photograph shows Amy Louisa Milner and her father, Theo Milner, holding baby son, George, outside their poultry farm, circa 1930. This was a poultry farm on Pascoe Vale Hill. It serviced the local area up until the 1970s when Theo Milner died. At that time the land was sold for units. Susan Sutton, the Milners' granddaughter remembers 'there was a peddle organ in the back room which the children were allowed to 'touch'. There was no running water when they first moved there and her grandmother would walk down to Pascoe Vale station where there was a well and would walk buckets of water back to the property.'
