Studio portrait of a girl dressed as Pierrot in a clown costume. This is a studio portrait of Elvie Watson, dressed as a Pierrot clown in 1918. She was four years old and starting her career as a dancer. She used to perform in pantomimes, Vaudeville shows and operas around Melbourne. Elvie was the daughter of Mr and Mrs E. Watson of Fitzroy Street Fitzroy and had been in pantomime from the age of five.
