Studio portrait of a girl dressed in a Man's Suit, smoking a cigarette. This is a studio portrait of Elvie Watson, circa 1924. She was aged 10 or 11 and already a professional entertainer. On Saturday night she would perform impersonations at Vaudeville nights at Melbourne Town Halls. Elvie was the daughter of Mr and Mrs E. Watson of Fitzroy Street, Fitzroy and had been in pantomime from the age of five.
