An evangelist street-preacher on Bourke Street Mall, outside of David Jones store. This photograph shows a street-preacher in the 1990s. According to the photographer William Bowers, he still preaches in the city, especially on Bourke Street Mall. 'He has a hand-trolley and always wears placards. The photograph was taken 24/5/93, and he is still preaching in 2006.' In the 1990s William Bowers would walk through the City of Melbourne and the other suburbs to take candid photographs, ' moments of life in the city that took his fancy.' They were all taken between 1992 - 1997.
