Description of Content
A woman in a house dress, wearing glasses, standing outside a tea-room. This photograph shows Maria Clarke (nee Neale) in the 1930s, outside 'Iona' tearooms, near the Black Rock Clock Tower, which she owned. According to her family, Maria was a widow, and struggled to keep the Tea Room running whilst raising two boys. She supplemented the Tea Room by waitressing. This photograph relates to another photograph about the Clarke family in Beaumaris, MM110211
