A young girl standing outside the Cockatoo Enclosure, at Zoo. A White Cockatoo is climbing the fence behind her. This photograph shows Gina Bertolo aged 3 outside the Cockatoo enclosure at the Royal Melbourne Zoo, 1964-1965. Gina remembers it was her first visit to the Zoo, but there were many visits afterwards. Gina felt afraid of some of the animals and her father Antonio had to carry her around. She also ended up being married at the Zoo many years later. Gina's family moved from Newcastle NSW to Melbourne soon before this photograph was taken.
