Four men undertaking marine salvage amongst large metal industrial machinery. There is a tug in the bay behind them. This photograph shows a scene in Port Melbourne, by the docks, July 1968. The photographer Russell Beedles had heard that the Williamstown car ferry was going to be closed down, so went to Port Melbourne and took the ferry across to Williamstown, to take photographs. This is on the Port Melbourne side of the river. There is a tug in the background, and four men salvaging machinery in the foreground.
