Summary

Jean Brock hanging out the laundry in the backyard of her family home, Caulfield, October 1968. The photographer Russell Beedles was friends with her son, John Brock and while visiting his family took a photograph of John's mother Jean hanging out the laundry. John Brock was a friend of the photographer Russell Beedle's, and he was an artist and teacher. Russell met John while teaching at Warrnambool. John's father had a darkroom in the back of his garage and taught Russell how to develop and print photographs.
