Description of Content
An infant girl standing by clothes line, and laundry tub in back garden. This photograph shows Rosemary Beedles, aged 2, by the clothesline in the backyard of her family home at Waterdale Rd Ivanhoe, 1945. It shows an aviary to the left by the apple tree, a vegetable garden and a clothesline. Her brother Russell Beedles remembers: 'The clothesline was 'propped' on a pole. There was a metal laundry tub below- the washing got taken out to the line in this, and the kids were bathed in it as well.'
