Woman buying lingerie at busy store. The sales woman is wearing glasses. This photograph shows Rosemary Mokhtar (nee Beedles), buying lingerie at Myers Emporium, January 1969. Rosemary had become a volunteer for Australian Volunteers Abroad and was teaching in Malaysia. She met Muhommed Mokhtar abroad and married him. She had come back to Australia for a visit with him to introduce him to the family. She was pregnant and shopping for maternity wear in Myer. The photographer, her brother Russell Beedles took her in to Myer and happened to have a camera.
