Description of Content
A woman pruning a lemon tree in the backyard with a saw. This photograph shows Anne Beedles using a large saw to prune the lemon tree in Ivanhoe in 1958. The photographer, her son Russell Beedles remembers: 'She had once pruned the lemon tree back so hard that an uncle said 'Her's killed it, her has'. It was a real triumph that it flourished. Like most families at that time, the Beedles had lots of fruit trees on their property. You can see the rubbish bin in the background.
