This photograph shows Alice Hughes, with family and friends on a picnic in Frankston, circa 1907. Alice May Hughes is in the background, third from the left. According to her family, she was '1/4 Italian'. There is a tent in the background. People are entertaining themselves with a piano accordion and a gramophone.
