This photograph shows John Symons with the Victorian Football League Premiership Cup, Essendon 5 October 1984. According to the photographer his mother, 'John Symons, was a mad Essendon supporter. From where they lived in Strathmore they could hear the roar of the football crowds. The year they won the premiership they had a celebration at the town hall. One kid out of every school was invited and John was such a keen supporter than he was chosen to attend.' When Judy went to pick him up, she snuck in with her camera and 'snapped' this shot of him with the cup.
