Six boys 'messing about ' in the backyard. Three are standing making faces, and three are sitting on bikes or a trampoline laughing. This photograph shows John and Dave Symons and friends, in the backyard of their family home, Strathmore, February or March 1981. The photograph was taken in autumn. The photographer, their mother Judy Archer remembers 'Her marriage had just broken up. The boys hung around, were always together. They liked to work on their motor bikes and push bikes, etc.' One of the boys, Bernard Parsons is probably sitting on Judy's motor bike.
