Seven children standing or sitting around a large cardboard box that is being used as a party table in the backyard. The children are all wearing cone shaped party hats with streamers. This photograph shows Leeyong Soo's 4th birthday party, Noble Park, 17 March 1979. Her mother Janet Soo remembers the makeshift furniture for the birthday party. 'They used the box that came with their first colour television for a table.' The children were her daughter Leeyong's kindergarten and play-group friends, and Leeyong's cousin (left) Sherlene Chan. Leeyong is seated in the middle. Janet says that she threw 'old fashioned birthday parties', with family games in the backyard.
